Club Visit from the District Governor 5930, Eddie Bartnesky

Eddie Bartnesky is a proud member of the Rotary Club of Harlingen, having joined in 1990 and has 30 years of perfect attendance. He has served many leadership roles with his Rotary Club including Club President in 2000-2001. His Club recognitions include “Ray Cocozza Service Above Self Award” and twice honored with the Vocational Service Award. He contributes to the fundraising activities of the club by serving on the Rotary Shrimp Fest Board, including Board President for 4 years.

At the District Level, Eddie has served as Assistant Governor for 4 years, District Grant SubCommittee Chair, District Disaster Preparedness Committee, Rotary Disaster Aid USA committee member, a graduate of Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) and is currently serving as District Governor for 2020-2021.

Eddie is President/CEO of Connelly & Bartnesky Insurance Agency in Harlingen, TX. for the past 32 years. He received a BBA in Accounting from Pan American University and is a Certified Insurance Counselor.

Eddie is married to his high school sweetheart Sue. They have been blessed with 3 successful children, Jennifer (Graham), Chris (Emily), and Steven (Leslie). They are equally blessed with 5 grandchildren, Ellie, Kyler, Keaton, Cole and Caleb.

Eddie is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow, Paul Harris Society member and Bequest Society member. His wife and children are all Paul Harris Fellows as well.
