McAllen International Museum of Art and Science

From her early years as a museum educator and now as a director, Ann enthusiastically builds teams that strive to make the museum a place for everyone. Connecting museums with their communities has been at the forefront of her work. She joined the International Museum of Art & Science (IMAS) in July 2019 as Executive Director with over 35 years of practice in history, art, and science museums.

She contributes regularly to museum publications and brings a range of service to the field including as an American Alliance of Museums Accreditation Commissioner from 2015-2018, and a Museum Assessment Program peer reviewer since 2005. Ann currently serves as President for the Texas Association of Museums.

 

Ann received her bachelor’s degree in history from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, her Master’s in museum education from Bank Street College of Education in New York City, and completed the Museum Leadership Institute at the Getty Institute in Los Angeles and Leadership Women Texas. Ann and her husband Jeffrey have two adult children (Ned and Elinor) and two grandchildren (Emerson and Arlo).
